Valet Driver
About The Position
SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company using computer vision to provide checkout-free parking experiences. The Valet Driver helps deliver a seamless transportation experience by interacting with customers, inspecting and safely parking vehicles, explaining valet rates, and responding to customer requests and concerns. The role requires compliance with traffic laws and safe driving practices, reporting incidents and hazards to management, and maintaining a clean, complete uniform while arriving on time and ready for scheduled shifts. The position is located in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Requirements
- Valid state driver's license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
- Proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States, with valid documentation provided if hired.
- Ability to provide accurate information to customers and coworkers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
- Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency and understand instructions, short emails, and memos.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
- Ability to stand and walk regularly, handle cash and equipment, occasionally sit and climb or balance, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
- Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.
Responsibilities
- Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
- Inspect each vehicle before safely parking it and note all findings.
- Explain valet rates to customers.
- Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
- Know major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area to provide customers with a seamless transportation experience.
- Arrive on time for each scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
- Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
