This position involves creating a positive first and last impression for customers using Valet Service at any valet entrance. The role requires outstanding front-line customer service, professionalism, and tact, especially when interacting with customers during stressful and busy times. The Valet is responsible for assisting patients, families, and visitors by greeting them, parking their vehicles, providing directions, assisting with handicapped areas, and offering other reasonable services. They are also responsible for the general upkeep of valet entrances, retrieving vehicles for departing customers, and assisting healthcare staff with patient discharges, which may include opening vehicle doors and loading personal belongings. The Valet is expected to create a favorable image of the Sanford campus through a warm and caring attitude towards patients, visitors, family members, and their vehicles.
