VALET
About The Position
The Valet provides professional, courteous, and compassionate guest services. This role coordinates traffic flow, communicates procedures and directions to guests, assists with loading and unloading, and safely operates, parks, and retrieves vehicles. The position also handles guest keys and payments, tip-pool tallying, daily revenue reconciliation, and communication about traffic peaks and parking-lot issues. The work includes extended periods outdoors in an unprotected environment and keeping the work area clear of debris. This role may suit someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to operate both standard and automatic transmissions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate traffic flow.
- Clearly and effectively communicate valet procedures, information, and directions to guests.
- Understand and appropriately respond to basic inquiries from guests and team members.
- Monitor illegal parking and promptly store vehicles.
- Interact with guests in a friendly manner.
- Assist guests with loading and unloading.
- Collect and secure guest keys.
- Predict and communicate traffic-flow peaks and parking-lot issues.
- Identify and arrange additional support when extended wait times occur.
- Accurately tally and split the tip pool.
- Receive and receipt various valet payments.
- Accurately reconcile and report daily revenue.
- Project currency and coin requirements and reorder as necessary.
- Operate, park, and retrieve vehicles safely while obeying traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations.
- Work outdoors in an unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods.
- Keep the work area clean of debris.
