About The Position

The Valet provides professional, courteous, and compassionate guest services. This role is suitable for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. The position involves coordinating traffic flow, assisting guests, safely operating and parking vehicles, handling valet payments and revenue, and maintaining a clean work area. The work takes place outdoors in an unprotected environment and may involve extended periods in all climates. ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to operate both standard and automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities

Coordinate traffic flow.
Clearly and effectively communicate valet procedures, information, and directions to guests.
Understand and appropriately respond to basic customer and team member inquiries.
Monitor illegal parking and immediately store vehicles.
Interact with guests in a friendly manner.
Assist guests with loading and unloading.
Collect and secure guest keys.
Predict and communicate traffic-flow peaks and parking-lot issues.
Identify and arrange extra support when wait times are extended.
Accurately tally and split the tip pool.
Receive and receipt a variety of valet payments.
Accurately reconcile and report daily revenue.
Project currency and coin requirements and reorder as necessary.
Operate, park, and retrieve vehicles safely while obeying traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations.
Keep the work area clean of debris.
