About The Position

The Valet Supervisor provides valet and porter services to hotel guests under general supervision, responding promptly and courteously to guest requests to support their satisfaction and comfort. The role leads the Valet staff, oversees service procedures and guest flow, and helps ensure high service standards. It also includes scheduling and staffing, valet billing and claims, staff coaching and training, and offering operational improvement suggestions to leadership.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current, valid driver's license and at least two years of recent driving experience.
At least two years of experience in the hotel industry.
Excellent customer service skills.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
Knowledge of local establishments, businesses, and the surrounding community.
Driving record must meet the needs of the employer's insurance carrier.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles.
Ability to see objects and people at close and distant ranges.
Ability to grasp handles, carry bundles, and lift packages.
Ability to continually push, lift, and carry up to 65 pounds throughout the hotel during the entire shift.

Responsibilities

Greet arriving guests and help unload luggage from their vehicles.
Park vehicles safely and efficiently, and secure and mark key tags with the vehicle location, guest name, license plate number, and type of vehicle.
Assist departing guests by loading luggage into their vehicles.
Respond to guest inquiries and explain hotel products and services in person and by telephone.
Provide current hotel information and maintain knowledge of local activities and establishments to answer questions, make recommendations, and give directions.
Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor.
Create and maintain schedules and staffing levels for the Valet Team.
Ensure valet billing is accurate and posted promptly.
Manage and respond to valet claims.
Motivate and coach the team, ensuring members are trained and perform at a high level.
Offer leadership suggestions to improve property operations and services.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
