Part-Time Trash Valet Porter – Evenings Only – Orem
About The Position
WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring part-time Valet Porters in the Orem area for short evening shifts, Monday through Friday. Shifts typically start around 6:30 or 7:00 PM and last 1–2 hours. Porters work independently along an assigned route, collecting bagged trash, recycling, and cardboard from apartment residents’ doors and taking it to an onsite dumpster, chute, or compactor. The role also involves sorting recycling, checking for contamination, and cleaning loose trash from common areas. Porters use a mobile app to check in and out, document their routes, upload photos, and leave courtesy notices as needed. They may occasionally assist with pet waste station servicing. The position pays $20 per hour at standard sites and $25 per hour at sites requiring use of a personal open-bed pickup truck. No experience is required; training is provided. The work involves substantial walking, sometimes using stairs, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. WSI is a family-owned, majority women-operated company founded in Utah in 2010, serving apartment communities across Utah, Nevada, and Idaho.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Must have a valid Utah driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Must have a smartphone with an active data plan and location services.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
- Must be reliable, professional, and self-motivated.
- Must be able to walk extensively, ascend and descend stairs at some properties, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- A personal open-bed pickup truck is required at select sites.
