About The Position

WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring a part-time relief Trash and Recycling Porter in the St. George area. The role provides evening coverage for the part-time porter team, with one guaranteed Monday shift and opportunities for additional shifts covering call-offs and vacations or assisting another associate. This is not an on-call position. Shifts begin after 6:00 PM and typically last 1–3 hours. No prior experience is required; training is provided. Porters walk assigned apartment communities, collect bagged trash, recycling, and cardboard from residents’ doors, and transport materials to onsite dumpsters, chutes, or compactors. They separate recycling, check for contamination, use a mobile app to check in and out, document routes with photos, leave courtesy notices when needed, and clean loose bagged trash near dumpsters and in common areas. The work is independent and takes place outdoors in varying weather conditions. Pay is $18 per hour, with mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate for travel from the main office to work sites. Sites requiring a personal open-bed pickup truck carry a higher pay rate. WSI is a family-owned, majority women-operated company founded in Utah in 2010.
