Part-Time Trash Valet Porter – Evenings Only – South Ogden
About The Position
WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring part-time Valet Porters in the South Ogden area to collect bagged trash, recycling, and cardboard from residents’ apartment doors and transport it to onsite dumpsters, chutes, or compactors. The work is performed independently along an assigned route, with check-in and check-out, route documentation, photos, and courtesy notices handled through a mobile app. Porters may occasionally service pet waste stations. Shifts are Monday through Friday evenings, generally starting around 6:30 or 7:00 PM and lasting 1–2 hours. Shift length can vary slightly with resident participation, property size, or seasonal factors. Pay is $20 per hour at standard sites and $25 per hour at sites requiring use of a personal open-bed pickup truck. No experience is required; training is provided.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid Utah driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Must have a smartphone with an active data plan and location services.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
- Must be reliable, professional, and self-motivated.
- Must be able to walk extensively, climb stairs at some properties, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- A personal open-bed pickup truck is required at select sites.

Responsibilities
- Walk an assigned apartment community and collect bagged trash, recycling, and cardboard from residents’ doors.
- Transport collected materials to the onsite dumpster, chute, or compactor.
- Separate recycling and check it for contamination.
- Clean up loose trash in common areas.
- Use a mobile app to check in and out, document the route, upload photos, and leave courtesy notices when needed.
- Occasionally assist with pet waste station servicing.
