About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision to provide checkout-free parking experiences. The Valet Driver helps deliver a seamless customer experience by safely inspecting and parking vehicles, explaining valet rates, communicating with customers, and following traffic laws and company policies. The role requires a clean uniform and punctuality for every scheduled shift, along with the ability to respond professionally to customer concerns and adapt to unexpected events. The position is located in Chicago, Illinois.

Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
• Proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States; valid documentation must be provided if hired.
• Ability to provide accurate information to customers and coworkers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
• Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shifts and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
• Inspect each vehicle before safely parking it and note all findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Observe traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area to support customers’ transportation needs.
• Arrive on time for every scheduled shift in a clean uniform and ready to work.
• Remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
