Valet Driver (Seasonal)
About The Position
SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision to provide checkout-free parking experiences. The company operates more than 4,000 locations across North America and Europe, with over 23,000 employees. SP+ is reinventing parking and developing checkout-free experiences for everyday activities. The Valet Driver inspects and safely parks customer vehicles, explains valet rates, responds to customer questions, and provides directions when needed. The role requires safe driving, attention to vehicle condition and workplace safety, professional customer service, and punctuality in a clean uniform. The position is seasonal and located in Walnut Creek, California. The listed pay is $20.00 per hour. Eligible employees may participate in benefit plans.
Requirements
- Hold a valid state driver’s license, have a current address, and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Provide valid documentation proving eligibility to work legally in the United States if hired.
- Provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
- Be able to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and understand instructions, short emails, and memos.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
- Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.
Responsibilities
- Inspect each vehicle before parking it safely and note all findings.
- Explain valet rates to customers.
- Respond quickly and kindly to customer questions.
- Observe traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
- Know major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area and provide directions to customers when needed.
- Arrive on time for every scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
- Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
