About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision to provide checkout-free parking experiences. The Valet Driver role is based in Chicago, Illinois, and involves safely parking customers’ vehicles, providing customer service, and supporting parking operations.

Requirements

• Hold a valid state driver’s license with a current address and an acceptable driving record.
• Provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States, including valid documentation if hired.
• Provide accurate information to customers and coworkers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Be able to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and understand instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission.
• Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each vehicle before parking it safely and note any findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Respond promptly and kindly to customer questions.
• Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know major local streets, landmarks, and freeways, and provide directions to customers when needed.
• Arrive on time for each scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
