About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision to enable checkout-free parking experiences. The Valet Driver role is based at The Kimpton Gray Hotel Chicago. The position is scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The posting describes approximate pay of $18 per hour plus tips and separately lists a salary range of $16.00 to $17.00 per hour. Requirements

Hold a valid state driver's license, have a current address, and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Provide valid documentation showing eligibility to work legally in the United States if hired.
Communicate accurate information to customers and coworkers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
Read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and understand instructions, short emails, and memos.
Follow written and verbal instructions and adapt calmly to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.

Nice To Haves

Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, look for solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
Inspect each vehicle before parking it safely and note any findings.
Explain valet rates to customers.
Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices.
Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
Know major area streets, landmarks, and freeways to support a seamless transportation experience for customers.
Arrive on time for each scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
