About The Position

SP+ is seeking a Valet Driver for The Kimpton Gray Hotel Chicago. The role involves safely parking customer vehicles, providing courteous customer service, and helping ensure a seamless transportation experience. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. The posting notes approximately $18 per hour plus tips, while its salary range is listed as $16.00–$17.00 per hour. Requirements

Valid state driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
Proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States, with valid documentation provided if hired.
Ability to provide accurate information to customers and coworkers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency and understand instructions, short emails, and memos.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adapt calmly to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
Ability to stand and walk regularly and handle cash and equipment; occasional sitting, climbing or balancing, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds are also required.

Nice To Haves

Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission.
Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, identify solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
Inspect each vehicle before parking it and note all findings.
Explain valet rates to customers.
Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices.
Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
Know major area streets, landmarks, and freeways to support customers’ transportation experience.
Arrive on time for each scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
