About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a safe and personable Valet Driver for the Hewing Hotel in Minneapolis. The role focuses on providing a seamless customer experience by safely parking vehicles, communicating clearly with clients, and responding efficiently to requests and concerns. The position is scheduled for weekends, with morning and evening shifts. Compensation is listed as $16.00–$17.00 per hour, plus eligibility to earn tips.

Requirements

• Hold a valid state driver’s license, have a current address, and maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Provide valid documentation proving eligibility to work legally in the U.S. if hired.
• Provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Be able to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Be able to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.
• Meet the physical demands of the role, including regularly standing and walking; handling cash and equipment; occasionally sitting and climbing or balancing; and occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
• Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
• Inspect each vehicle before parking it and note any findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know the area's major streets, landmarks, and freeways to support customers’ transportation experience.
• Arrive on time for every scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
