About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is hiring an overnight valet driver for the Queen Kapiolani Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role involves safely inspecting and parking vehicles, assisting customers with rates and questions, and providing directions when needed. This is a full-time overnight position that includes weekends. Pay is $19.00 per hour, with tips as applicable.

Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
• Proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States, with valid documentation provided if hired.
• Ability to provide accurate information to customers and coworkers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency and understand instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.
• Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).

Responsibilities

• Inspect each vehicle before parking it safely and note any findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Respond promptly and courteously to customer questions.
• Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know local major streets, landmarks, and freeways and provide directions to customers when needed.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout each shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
