About The Position

As a Valet/Bellperson, you are responsible for promptly and courteously transporting guest vehicles to and from the parking garage or lot using safe driving practices. You also escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations while transporting their luggage. This is an on-call, year-round position at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort. Open availability is requested, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation is $13.00 per hour plus tips.

Responsibilities

Operate vehicles using safe driving practices to deliver vehicles safely to and from the parking garage.
Record vehicle information on valet tickets, including the guest's name, room number, license plate, make and model, charge amount, and length of stay.
Verbally arrange and confirm guest valet requests and make appropriate arrangements for bell desk services.
Follow established car control procedures, maintain accurate key logs, and complete required valet parking log sheets and reports.
Retrieve information about guest vehicles and claim checks using the Valet desk computer system as needed.
Retrieve guest items from cars, buses, vans, and carts.
Lift, carry, load, and unload luggage and packages onto a bell cart and transport them throughout the hotel to designated rooms.
Navigate bell carts through public areas, guest room corridors, and elevators.
Listen and respond to guest inquiries in a positive, clear-speaking voice.
Answer questions and provide accurate information about outlet hours, hotel services, directions to local attractions, and function rooms.
Organize and store luggage in designated areas as necessary.
Escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations.
