About The Position

The Valet Attendant works at The Lofton Hotel, an upscale hotel in downtown Minneapolis’ entertainment district and a Hilton Tapestry Collection property. The role focuses on welcoming guests, handling and transporting their luggage and packages, responding to guest questions, and maintaining a professional appearance and cleanliness. The work requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, and moving luggage weighing up to 45 pounds throughout a shift. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.

Requirements

Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally in English.
Ability to read English sufficiently to obtain information from luggage tags and claim checks and write names and numbers on claim checks and rooming lists.
Ability to continuously grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move packages, boxes, and luggage weighing up to 45 pounds throughout a shift.
Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit while continuously performing essential job functions.
Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to load and unload luggage.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on the property.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

Greet customers with a friendly and sincere welcome.
Retrieve guest items from cars, buses, vans, and carts.
Grasp, lift, carry, and load luggage and packages onto a bell cart, then transport them through hotel public areas, corridors, and elevators to designated rooms.
Listen and respond to guest inquiries, answer questions, and provide assistance and accurate information.
Maintain a professional image while at work.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
