VALET ATTENDANT (PART TIME)
About The Position
TouchPoint Support Services is hiring a part-time Valet Attendant at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola in Pensacola, Florida. The role provides valet services to patients, guests, and visitors, delivering vehicles safely and escorting clients into and out of vehicles. As the first point of contact for hospital arrivals, the attendant is expected to provide welcoming, high-quality service. The position includes driving a range of vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions; assisting patients and guests with transfers to and from vehicles and wheelchairs; transporting patients and medical equipment; maintaining patient comfort; collecting, returning, and disinfecting wheelchairs; responding to emergencies; and helping clean the grounds around the valet and parking areas. Training and cross-training are offered. The part-time schedule may include shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with days varying. The stated pay range is $15.00 to $15.85 per hour.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to drive and operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles, including sub-compact, compact, full-size, SUV, van, and golf cart.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patients’ and guests’ vehicles safely, accurately, and on time to their destinations.
- Drive vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions.
- Use proper body mechanics when lifting and transferring patients or guests to and from vehicles and wheelchairs.
- Safely transport patients and medical equipment while ensuring patients and guests remain comfortable.
- Collect and return wheelchairs to designated holding areas and disinfect them after use.
- Respond to emergency activities, such as code calls and disasters.
- Perform general cleanup of grounds around the valet and parking lots.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
