The Valet Attendant provides courteous, efficient, and safe valet services while ensuring the security of guest vehicles. As a first and last point of contact, the attendant creates a welcoming, professional guest experience by greeting guests, assisting with vehicle drop-off and retrieval, managing traffic flow, and responding to inquiries. The role requires following company policies, safety procedures, and proper key-handling practices, and operating vehicles carefully. Attendants inspect vehicles for damage and record parking locations on claim tickets. They maintain clean, organized valet areas; handle challenging situations professionally; support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment; and comply with attendance, timekeeping, tip-reporting, uniform, and grooming standards. Other duties include attending required staff meetings and completing assigned training on time, while adapting to changing operational needs. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, an acceptable motor vehicle record, and a clean background check. Customer service experience is preferred, and a helpful customer-service attitude is mandatory. The work involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds for extended periods, often in varied weather. Work occurs indoors and outdoors at on-site parking facilities and corporate settings, with exposure to moving vehicles, noise, and the elements. Employees may need to use personal cell phones for work-related communication and applications; reimbursement follows company policy. The position is non-exempt and paid hourly, with opportunities for tips. Rates vary by market, and tips depend on service performance and customer interactions. The schedule is listed as full-time or part-time. Overtime is paid for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek in accordance with applicable law.
