About The Position

The Valuable Opportunities & Leadership Training Program (VOLT) at U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. (USESI) is a paid, full-time, three-year career program designed for high school graduates. It offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and long-term growth opportunities within the electrical distribution industry. Upon successful completion, participants transition into a permanent role with USESI. As a V.O.L.T. Trainee, you will gain real-world experience in various aspects of the business, including warehouse operations, sales, customer service, and branch operations, while receiving guidance and training.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Must be able to work full-time and onsite.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Willingness to work in a warehouse and branch environment.
Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service mindset.
Positive attitude and commitment to learning.

Nice To Haves

No prior electrical distribution experience required.

Responsibilities

Gain real-world experience in warehouse operations, inventory, receiving, stocking, and order preparation.
Engage in customer service and counter sales.
Develop product knowledge in the electrical distribution industry.
Handle order entry, quotes, transfers, and customer support.
Provide inside sales support and project follow-up.
Learn business systems, modern tools, and professional workplace skills.
Understand and apply safety protocols, teamwork, communication, and career readiness principles.
