About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking an Interaction Designer (IxD) Co-op for Summer 2027. The co-op will be mentored by the IxD team while researching, designing, and helping implement interfaces for lift trucks, warehouse management tools, and mobile applications. The work focuses on creating industry-leading user experiences and may include user research, field research, prototyping, collaboration across Crown departments, and visual documentation supporting software and Design System development.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree program in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interactive Media, or Visual Design.
• Have good written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Provide work samples that exhibit good visual design skills and include a portfolio link with the application.
• Have reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during the scheduled workday.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided, and individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship now or in the future are not eligible for hire.

Responsibilities

• Research user needs, product requirements, competitive offerings, and industry trends.
• Conduct field research on users and products, which may include on-site observation, interviews, filming, and task analysis.
• Create prototypes to design, test, and help develop new experiences.
• Collaborate with designers and other Crown departments to develop ideas.
• Create visual documentation to support software and Design System development.
