About The Position

The Crown Design Model Shop creates scale and full-size prototype models for Crown Industrial Design staff to use in product development. Models range from functional, low-fidelity prototypes to high-fidelity models of components and complete vehicles. The Co-op works alongside Crown Model Makers and assists in creating prototype models, using processes such as CAD/CAM, CNC milling, 3D printing, molding, woodworking, and other forms of fabrication. The Co-op also has the opportunity and time to create a personal project while at Crown.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a two-year or four-year degree program.
• Have reliable personal transportation.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided, and individuals who need sponsorship now or in the future are not eligible.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably major in Industrial Design.

Responsibilities

• Assist Crown Model Makers in creating prototype models for product development.
• Support prototype fabrication using CAD/CAM, CNC milling, 3D printing, molding, woodworking, and other fabrication methods.
• Create a personal project while at Crown.
