About The Position

Support the Navy’s Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) systems, as well as variants of these systems, by maintaining, operating, and providing test support. Perform routine and advanced corrective maintenance actions in support of research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) engineering changes. Assist with the development of mission planning and post-mission analysis. Assist the Test Director in performing in-water tests of systems and support equipment. Guide Navy members in the use of these systems as a result of engineering and software changes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience providing technical support on UUVs or Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs)
  • Experience installing or testing engineering changes on UUVs or USVs and their associated support equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting and correcting problems on UUVs or USVs
  • Experience planning and executing UUVs or USVs mission plans, including performing pre-mission support or post-mission analysis (PMA)
  • Knowledge of Navy maintenance practices and Navy Technical Manuals
  • Ability to operate UUVs or USVs while being at sea or on the water
  • Ability to read and redline Naval and commercial engineering drawings
  • Ability to interface with stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Navy Fleet activities to coordinate and safely test and operate UUVs and USVs
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Completion of UUV Advance Maintenance Training Courses
