About The Position
This role involves the assembly and fabrication of electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment. Responsibilities may include operating mechanical machinery, calibration equipment, power tools, and electronic tooling. The technician will apply specific functional knowledge, working, and general industry knowledge. They may also assist in developing solutions for problems of moderate scope and complexity and will work under general supervision. The position may also involve providing guidance to less experienced team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Navy Maritime Systems
- Knowledge of engineering, mechanical, and electrical assemblies
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and documentation
- Ability to work independently
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Experience with manned and unmanned underwater systems
- Knowledge of Navy underwater unmanned systems
- Ability to conduct detailed electrical and mechanical assemblies
- Top Secret clearance
- Associate's degree
