About The Position

ORAFOL Advanced TPU Films is hiring a Utility Worker for its temperature-controlled manufacturing facility in South Deerfield, Massachusetts. Utility Workers support daily production by keeping the extruder continuously supplied with resin. They add, blend, and dry batch components in accordance with setup guidelines and training documents, and package and palletize finished goods according to customer specifications. The role may also require operating a fork truck. The base rate is $23.00 per hour, plus shift differential. The facility operates on a 24/5 schedule.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Ability to frequently squat, bend, and reach below shoulder level.
• Ability to occasionally climb, push, pull, and reach above shoulder level.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for more than 8 hours a day.
• Great decision-making skills and precise attention to detail.
• Positive can-do attitude and sense of accountability; takes initiative.
• Fast learner who is driven and self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Suite programs.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow setup guidelines for each order.
• Ensure material recipes are followed.
• Conduct resin sample testing.
• Supply and cut packaging supplies.
• Package and palletize finished goods according to specifications.
• Operate a fork truck as required.
• Comply with personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety requirements.
