About The Position

The Utility Worker supports daily foundry operations by performing a range of production tasks, including core making, furnace operation, metal pouring, and mold preparation. The role also involves sorting and staging castings, managing raw materials, and helping move materials throughout the production area. The work takes place in a physically demanding, high-temperature environment. The Utility Worker must be able to stand for long periods, safely lift and move materials within established guidelines, and work effectively as part of a team. Flexibility to assist in different areas of the foundry as production needs shift is essential to maintaining efficient operations. The position is with A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co., a manufacturer of water works brass, plumbing valves, water systems, natural gas valves, and meter bars.
