About The Position

Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort in Maui, is hiring a Utility Steward for the graveyard shift to join its Stewarding team. The resort is a 780-room property with 100,000 square feet of banquet space and seven food and beverage outlets. This union position requires complete open availability; schedule restrictions cannot be accommodated, and full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedules may vary week to week and are based on seniority and business needs, with hours potentially minimal until seniority is established.

The Utility Steward helps maintain clean kitchen and dining areas and supports memorable guest experiences. Duties include cleaning serviceware and cookware, keeping supplies organized and stocked, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, preparing serviceware for banquets and functions, mentoring new stewards, and following health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Clean chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils; scrub pots and pans; and burnish silver.
• Monitor stock levels and keep supplies and equipment well stocked and organized.
• Perform kitchen cleaning tasks, including mopping and trash removal.
• Prepare and set up clean serviceware for banquets and functions.
• Train and mentor new stewards.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations.
