About The Position

This position is responsible for the washing, drying, folding, ironing, and storing of linens for the laundry. The role requires adherence to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. The Utility Porter / Laundry Attendant will maintain production levels according to the level of room occupancy and handle cleaning products in a safe manner. This is a uniformed position, requiring team members to be in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty. Requirements

• No formal education required.
• Must be willing to work any shift.
• Must be in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience as a washer/folder/sorter is helpful.
• Knowledge of operating laundry equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, iron and store linens according to established procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance on the laundry equipment; includes cleaning dryer traps and greasing flat ironer.
• Maintain production levels according to level of room occupancy.
• Assist vendors who, as part of their service, perform inspections and tests of cleaning agents and operations.
• Handle cleaning products in a safe manner.
• Maintains daily worksheets.
• Count & process reclaimed items.
• Weigh & count all received linen.
• Keep accurate counts of delivered and received linen counts from all receiving departments.
