About The Position

The Laundry Attendant supports the cleanliness of guest rooms and floors and responds to guest service requests. The role includes stocking housekeeping carts and linen closets, supplying room attendants, cleaning guestroom drinking glasses, transporting supplies and linens, and maintaining clean, sanitary, and organized guestroom floors and other assigned areas. The attendant follows hotel service, operating, safety, and security standards; works collaboratively with colleagues and other departments; and completes special projects and other duties as assigned. This position may be full-time or part-time, with flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.

Requirements

At least 3 months of housekeeping or relevant experience.
Ability to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision.
Detail-oriented, able to multitask, and able to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
Ability to speak, understand, and communicate in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
Ability to push, pull, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to remain calm, think clearly, and resolve problems using good judgment.
Ability to follow directions, understand guest service needs, and work cohesively with coworkers.
Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, coworkers, and vendors orally and in writing.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to bend, twist, push, pull, stoop, and kneel.
Ability to work flexible and long hours and scheduled shifts based on business needs.
Use required personal protective equipment and tools as needed for assigned duties.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Switch linen racks daily and ensure supplies are fully stocked.
Clean drinking glasses for guest rooms.
Stock housekeeping carts and linen closets with supplies and amenities, and deliver supplies to room attendants.
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge guest service requests.
Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas, including guestroom floors, hallways, public areas, stairwells, linen closets, vending areas, and foyers.
Use appropriate cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
Transport carts with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens securely and promptly to assigned guest rooms and room attendants.
Remove trash, dust, debris, and foreign particles.
Complete recurring projects such as shampooing and vacuuming floors and picking up trash.
Keep guestroom hallways clean and clear of trash, debris, and other items.
Refurnish designated areas with supplies and towels as required.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Turn over lost-and-found items from guest rooms to the Supervisor.
Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operating procedures, and safety and security procedures.
Work cohesively with coworkers and other departments and follow policies and procedures while striving to improve operational standards.
Meet attendance and reliability standards and perform additional duties assigned by management.
