About The Position

Torchy’s is hiring a Utility Team Member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming restaurant environment and support smooth kitchen operations. The role combines busser and dishwasher duties, including cleaning dining and back-of-house areas, assisting customers as needed, maintaining dishwashing and food-service equipment, organizing kitchen supplies, and helping with prep or line duties when requested.

Requirements

• Food Handlers Certification.
• Ability to stand for several hours.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various heights.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop the dining room, bathrooms, and back of house as needed.
• Clean spills promptly to maintain a safe environment.
• Pre-bus tables when appropriate.
• Clean restaurant windows, walkways, entrances, and exits.
• Pick up trash in the parking lot.
• Clean and stock beverage stations, highchairs, and trash cans.
• Restock service areas as needed.
• Clean bathrooms before opening and monitor their cleanliness throughout the day.
• Assist customers as needed and follow cleaning lists and additional duties assigned by management.
• Take out front-of-house trash and power wash exterior areas according to the manager’s daily cleaning lists.
• Set up sanitizer buckets at all trash stations.
• Clean table bases and chair legs regularly.
• Clean and sanitize items used for food preparation and service.
• Maintain the three-compartment sink with proper chemical dilution and keep dishwashing areas clean.
• Organize pots, pans, and products received during the shift, and maintain walk-in organization.
• Help with prep or line duties when requested by management.
• Prioritize cleaning commonly used dishes, such as bowls and trays, to support kitchen operations.
• Unload and put away orders and promptly empty back-of-house trash.
