About The Position

As a Utility Buffet Server, you’ll help create meaningful dining experiences for residents. You’ll work as part of a collaborative team, share ideas, respond thoughtfully to feedback, and contribute to a positive, caring community environment. The role involves welcoming residents and guests, supporting buffet service, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and safely operating kitchen equipment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old to use the pizza oven, meat slicer, or knives.
Ability to work Monday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
Ability to obtain required food handler permits, as required by local ordinances, within two weeks of hire.
No previous work experience is required.
If required based on age and state of residence, obtain and submit a work permit at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

Greet residents and guests warmly, present menu options clearly, take accurate orders, and tailor portion sizes to individual preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and handle dishware carefully to prevent breakage.
Keep the exhibition line attended and visually appealing throughout meal hours.
Respond professionally to feedback, address concerns promptly, and escalate issues to leadership when necessary.
Safely operate kitchen equipment, including pizza ovens and sharp tools, while following safety standards.
Complete support work and additional tasks assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
Maintain strict sanitation standards in food preparation and production areas.
