About The Position

Kendall Auto Mall of Fairbanks is seeking Used Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics of all skill levels. This is not an entry-level position. Job duties include inspecting, diagnosing, and identifying work needed on various vehicles. Responsibilities involve performing adjustments and calibrations, replenishing fluids, disassembling and reassembling vehicle components, and repairing or replacing parts. Technicians will use independent judgment, document all work and hours per manufacturer and Kendall policies, and road test vehicles to ensure quality and issue resolution.

Requirements

Mechanical or tech experience at a dealership or large independent shop.
Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions.
A valid driver license and good driving record are required.

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Inspecting, diagnosing, and identifying work that needs to be completed on various vehicles.
Performing adjustments and calibrations.
Replenishing fluids.
Disassembling and reassembling vehicle components.
Repairing or replacing parts.
Using independent judgment to make decisions.
Documenting all work and hours per manufacturer and Kendall policies.
Road testing all vehicles to ensure quality of work and issues resolution.
