Used Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
About The Position
Kendall Auto Mall of Fairbanks is seeking Used Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics of all skill levels. This is not an entry-level position. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and identifying necessary work on various vehicles. Responsibilities include performing adjustments and calibrations, replenishing fluids, disassembling and reassembling vehicle components, and repairing or replacing parts. Technicians will use independent judgment, document all work and hours according to policies, and road test vehicles to ensure quality and issue resolution. The work environment is indoors in a shop, requiring the use of mechanic's hand and power tools, and significant standing and walking. Frequent pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and kneeling are necessary. Lifting and pushing/pulling weights of 20 to 100 pounds is occasionally required.
Requirements
- Mechanical or tech experience at a dealership or large independent shop.
- Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions.
- A valid driver license and good driving record.
