About The Position

This position provides vehicle pricing support to Area Directors, and Used Truck Centers in pricing used vehicles on inventory for U.S. and Canada. Provides vehicle and matrix pricing support to International Vehicle Sales.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma/GED, Required
  • Bachelor's Degree, required
  • Significant knowledge of field operations Advanced, Required
  • Knowledge of RIDE, Word and Excel Advanced, Required
  • Knowledge of vehicle specifications Advanced, Required
  • Knowledge of Used Vehicle Sales pricing methodology Advanced, Required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, Required
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills, Required
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, Required
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)., Required
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment, Required
  • Detail oriented with strong follow-up practices, Required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in Related subjects, Preferred
  • 5 years or more in Field operations, Preferred
  • 5 years or more in Ryder experience or Bachelor's Degree, Preferred
  • Knowledge of Access Beginner, Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receives field vehicle pricing input.
  • Verifies submitted "ask and take" price levels with published Vehicle Sales matrix.
  • Establishes vehicle "ask and take" prices.
  • Contacts appropriate Area Director for pricing approval below published take prices.
  • Updates pricing on all units quarterly.
  • Coordinates with Consumer to publish updated pricing guideline.
  • Reviews pending straight sales on a daily basis.
  • Verifies that sale prices are within published guidelines.
  • Approves sales within published guidelines.
  • Forwards Schedule "A" sales, trades and sales below published take price to the appropriate Area Director.
  • Updates matrix pricing by vehicle class in three distinct regions.
  • Distributes matrices to Vehicle Sales Managers each quarter.
  • Accumulates field input on published matrix pricing, forwarding input to the Area Directors.
  • Computes pricing for over-aged inventory based on percentage reductions.
  • Answers Vehicle Sales Manager and other field inquiries regarding pricing, matrices, inventory and sales approvals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
