About The Position

BMW of Bloomfield is NOW HIRING Used Vehicle Buyers! This role is crucial for building a used-car inventory through various channels including direct contacts, generated leads, off-site auctions, other dealerships, and internet inquiries. The buyer will be responsible for appraising vehicles, understanding their condition, negotiating prices, making financially sound purchasing decisions, and ensuring timely processing of all purchases. Additionally, the role involves monitoring retail trends, participating in inventory planning, and delivering a premium customer experience by responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years in a dealership role - sales, BDC, or service advising preferred
Able to work individually with a strong sense of urgency and accountability
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence
High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required
Must be able to work in a drug free workplace

Responsibilities

Building a used-car inventory through direct contacts, generated leads, off site auctions, dealers, internet inquiries from customers or any other available avenues
Appraise vehicles, understand vehicle condition, negotiate price, make financially sound purchasing decisions, and ensure timely processing of all purchases
Responsible for monitoring retail trends and participating in the inventory planning process
Deliver a premium customer experience by responding to customer inquiries in a prompt, professional, accurate and courteous manner
