Vehicle Acquisition Specialist / Appraiser / Used Car Buyer
About The Position
Huntington Volvo is actively hiring an experienced Vehicle Acquisition Specialist / Automotive Appraiser to support our rapidly growing pre-owned vehicle department. Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of automotive industry experience
- Previous dealership experience required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- Experience in used car acquisition, automotive sales, or vehicle appraising preferred
- Knowledge of vehicle valuation tools including V-Auto, KBB ICO, auction platforms, and CRM systems preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced dealership environment
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Professional appearance and team-oriented attitude
Responsibilities
- Appraise used vehicles from trade-ins, lease returns, service drive opportunities, and customer vehicle acquisitions
- Purchase vehicles directly from customers looking to sell their cars
- Respond to Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer (KBB ICO) leads and Autotrader acquisition leads
- Evaluate vehicle condition, market demand, and pricing trends
- Utilize V-Auto and auction platforms to determine competitive vehicle values
- Manage CRM follow-up processes and customer communication
- Coordinate vehicle acquisitions and inventory sourcing efforts
- Work with sales and service departments to maximize used vehicle opportunities
- Conduct test drives and vehicle walkarounds with customers
- Maintain accurate documentation, repair orders, vehicle descriptions, and certification labeling
- Support dealership used car inventory management and merchandising efforts
- Coordinate intercompany trades between VIP Automotive Group dealerships
- Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the appraisal and acquisition process
