About The Position

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC), North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group, is hiring a Used Truck Salesperson. The salesperson sells used trucks by serving established customers and developing new prospects within an assigned territory. The role requires broad knowledge of company services, products, and marketing techniques. This position is designated safety-sensitive because duties may involve operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring motor vehicles or other equipment where a lapse in attention could cause injury, illness, or death.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Call on prospective customers and assigned accounts in the territory, including through frequent, assertive telephone marketing.
• Maintain customer contacts regarding their requirements and stay current on market and customer trends.
• Identify and profile prospective customers, then develop and apply strategies to obtain orders.
• Make company services available to customers.
• Refer complaints and leads to the appropriate company department managers.
• Report on competitive activity.
• Maintain records and prepare reports covering all phases of sales activities.
• Write used truck appraisals when the Used Truck Manager is absent.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
