About The Position

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC), North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group, is hiring a Used Truck Salesperson. The salesperson sells used trucks by working with established customers and developing prospects within an assigned territory. The role requires broad knowledge of company services, products, and marketing techniques. This position is designated safety-sensitive; performing its duties while under the influence of marijuana or another illegal drug may threaten health or safety, particularly where a lapse of attention could cause injury, illness, or death. MHC is a multi-state network of full-service diesel truck dealerships, leasing and rental operations, transport refrigeration locations, and a finance company offering finance and insurance services. Requirements

Broad knowledge of the company's services, products, and marketing techniques.
Product knowledge.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
High energy level and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Direct sales or truck sales experience preferred.
CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

Call on prospective customers and assigned accounts within the assigned territory, including through ongoing telephone marketing.
Maintain customer contacts regarding their requirements and stay current on market and customer trends.
Identify and profile prospective customers, then develop and apply strategies to obtain orders.
Make company services available to customers.
Refer complaints and leads to the appropriate company department managers.
Report on competitive activity.
Keep records and prepare reports on all phases of sales activity.
Write Used Truck appraisals when the Used Truck Manager is absent.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
