About The Position

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC), North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group, is hiring a Used Truck Salesperson. The salesperson sells used trucks by working with established customers and developing new prospects in an assigned territory. The position requires broad knowledge of the company's services, products, and marketing techniques. This is designated as a safety-sensitive position; working under the influence of marijuana or other illegal drugs may pose a health or safety threat, particularly given duties involving motor vehicles or other potentially hazardous equipment.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Direct sales or truck sales experience is preferred.
• CDL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Call on prospective customers and assigned accounts within the assigned territory, including through ongoing telephone marketing.
• Maintain customer contacts regarding their requirements and stay current on market and customer trends.
• Identify and profile prospective customers, then develop and apply strategies to obtain orders.
• Make company services available to customers.
• Refer complaints and leads to the appropriate company department managers.
• Report on competitive activity.
• Keep records and prepare reports on all phases of sales activities.
• Write used-truck appraisals when the Used Truck Manager is absent.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
