About The Position

The Used Car Technician completes automotive system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing, and road-tests vehicles to confirm repairs meet quality expectations. The technician communicates with service advisors about work status and estimated completion times so customers can be kept informed. The role also requires ongoing technical learning, maintaining an organized and neat shop area, and performing other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle.
• Have technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality repair work was completed.
• Communicate with service advisors about service-work status and estimated completion times so customers can be informed.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions to stay current with changing automotive technology.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
