About The Position

Madison Honda is seeking a skilled Used Car Service Technician to perform vehicle diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and repairs across various makes and models. The role involves delivering safe, high-quality service, addressing customers’ original concerns, and providing professional customer support. The technician will keep current with technical information, participate in training, complete required documentation, and maintain a punctual, professional appearance. This is a full-time position in Madison, New Jersey, with standard working hours; specific schedule details will be provided during the interview process.

Requirements

Experience with warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of various vehicle makes and models.
Ability to meet or exceed performance goals.
Strong communication skills and a professional work ethic.
Positive attitude, high energy, and excellent customer service abilities.
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions clearly.
Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
Valid state driver's license and clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical aptitude demonstrated by ASE certification.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot customer vehicle concerns using current technical and administrative tools.
Provide courteous and professional customer service.
Assist in greeting customers in the service drive area when needed.
Stay updated with technical publications, service communications, and system operations.
Ensure safe, high-quality vehicle service is completed correctly on the first visit.
Address original customer concerns comprehensively before recommending additional services.
Inspect vehicles thoroughly for maintenance according to local and factory recommendations.
Return vehicles to customers clean and in excellent condition.
Participate in factory and in-house training programs.
Complete required paperwork accurately and attach necessary documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Maintain punctuality and a professional appearance, and wear a clean uniform daily.
