About The Position

The Used Car Recon Manager performs inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on used vehicles of various makes and models. The role completes reconditioning work to dealership and manufacturer quality standards, documents repair orders and recommendations, and maintains productivity and quality standards. It collaborates with parts and service teams to complete work and reduce vehicle downtime, while ensuring work is performed safely and in compliance with dealership policies. This is a full-time, on-site position with open availability to support dealership operations and customer demand. The position reports to the Service Manager.

Requirements

At least 2 years of previous automotive technician experience.
Experience performing used vehicle inspections and reconditioning.
Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.
Experience with automotive systems and repair procedures.
Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Must be 18 years or older.

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications are ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of used vehicle makes and models.
Complete reconditioning work so vehicles meet dealership and manufacturer quality standards.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, brake, and drivability concerns.
Conduct multi-point inspections and identify additional repair opportunities.
Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid services, tire rotations, and brake work.
Document repair orders and recommended repairs.
Maintain productivity and quality standards.
Collaborate with parts and service teams to complete reconditioning work and reduce vehicle downtime.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with dealership policies.
