The Future of Privacy Forum (FPF), a nonprofit advancing principled data practices and privacy protections for emerging technologies, seeks legal, policy, and technical interns to support its US Policy team. The team works at the intersection of privacy, emerging technology, and evolving commercial business practices. Interns may support research and analysis on new technologies, advise companies on emerging data practices, engage with policymakers and partners, and conduct legal, technical, and policy research and thought leadership. Issue portfolios may include online advertising, deidentification standards, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and emerging regulation. The summer internship is typically a 10-week, full-time program running from early June to mid-August. Interns may work from FPF’s Washington, DC office, whose policy is to be in person at least two days per week, or work fully remotely from anywhere in the United States. Summer interns are paid $2,500 per month, prorated for partial months, unless they receive other funding or choose academic credit from an institution that does not permit compensation.
