Part-time Urgent Care Veterinarian
About The Position
UrgentVet provides after-hours urgent care for canine and feline patients in the Cordova, Tennessee area, bridging the gap between daytime general practice and emergency or overnight care. The clinic treats common urgent cases such as wounds, ear infections, vomiting, diarrhea, and euthanasia. The position works single-doctor shifts and involves managing a varying caseload of appointments and surgeries during clinic hours. This is urgent care only, with no wellness services or abdominal surgeries. The practice uses a Fear Free approach and is feline friendly. Its paperless, modern clinics use cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house lab equipment. The schedule is flexible and limited to swing/second shifts.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college, or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program.
- Active license in good standing to practice in the state of employment, or the ability to obtain a license in that state.
Responsibilities
- Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
- Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership.
- Grow relationships within the practice and the Memphis community.
- Encourage support staff growth through the internal LevelUp training program.
- Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours.
