About The Position
VCA Edgewater Shores Animal Hospital in Edgewater, Florida, is hiring an Urgent Care Veterinarian. The hospital is a full-service practice that has served Volusia County pets since 2007, providing routine medical care, in-house diagnostics, veterinary dental care, cold laser therapy, and other services. The veterinarian will be supported by the hospital’s team, facilities, technology, and veterinary resources, and is expected to provide high-quality medicine and care for patients and clients. The position is full-time. The hospital’s listed hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Compensation is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and other relevant credentials; the position may also be eligible for variable pay programs. VCA describes its organization as a network of 1,000 animal hospitals, with 35,000 Associates caring for more than 4.5 million pets annually. VCA is part of Mars Veterinary Health.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent.
- Florida veterinary licensure in good standing, or the ability to obtain it.
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
Responsibilities
