About The Position

Bedford Veterinary Medical Center and its partner hospital, Lowell Rd Veterinary Center, are state-of-the-art veterinary hospitals providing personal, progressive, and comprehensive care to dogs and cats in Southern New Hampshire seven days a week. The hospitals emphasize high-quality medicine, compassionate care, experienced support staff, and medical autonomy. Equipment includes ultrasound, digital radiography, dental X-ray, and an in-house laboratory.

The veterinarian will support urgent care hours. The position may be full-time or part-time, with a schedule assembled from available hours. The ideal candidate has experience in an emergency or urgent care setting and is willing to work evenings. Operating hours are 6 p.m.–10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–9 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m.–8 p.m. Sunday.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Active veterinary state license.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in an emergency or urgent care setting.
• Willingness to work evenings.
• Current DEA license (preferred but not required).
• USDA accreditation (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary care in support of the hospitals’ urgent care hours.
• Work an agreed combination of available urgent care hours.
