About The Position
Geisinger is seeking a Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine physician with a passion for Urgent Care to join our team at our Selinsgrove location. Geisinger's ConvenientCare+ program is an alternative to the Emergency Department when prompt intervention is needed to treat worsening illness or exacerbation of a chronic condition. Acute care services above and beyond what is traditionally found in outpatient urgent care centers are available for the convenience of both providers and patients.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
- Patient Care And Procedural Skills
- Professional Etiquette
- Systems-Based Practice
Responsibilities
- Provide acute care services.
- Utilize telemedicine carts.
- Perform diagnostics, including laboratory and imaging studies.
- Provide various treatments.
- Admit patients directly to the hospital if necessary.
