About The Position

As an Upfit Technician Coordinator, you are tasked to work on a variety of different components. Activities include, but are not limited to, ordering parts, tracking down shipments, and making sure the team has the parts that they need.

Requirements

Advanced mechanical and 12v electrical skills with welding experience
Truck body or equipment manufacturing repair and ability to troubleshoot / problem solve with minimal supervision
Capability to work off scaffolding up ten to twelve feet.
Must have a current driver’s license.
Requires minimum of 5 hours standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, with a full range of body mechanics/movements
Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of stairs and climbing in and out of trucks or working in tight spaces.
Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE)

Responsibilities

To perform a variety of semiskilled manual duties requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment and safety precautions.
To adhere to and enforce the general safety plan.
May be required to do other duties as requested.
Primary job duty is safety of the team, the quality of the product, and the overall production goals.
Ensures work is performed at a quality level consistent with Wabash standard practice.
Supervised by supervisor, general foreman, manager or department head.
Good attendance is critical, and coordinator is required to report all absences directly to supervisor.
Must be willing and able to work overtime.
Work towards and for a OneWabash.
Training new employees on safety and responsibilities thereof.
