About The Position

Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance. This role involves adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring quality through inspections and process adherence, meeting production goals, and maintaining a clean work area. Teamwork and effective communication are essential for continuous improvement and problem-solving.

Requirements

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
Must be able to work evenings.
Must be able to work overtime.
Must be able to pass physical for breathable air equipment.

Responsibilities

Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.
Report any work-related injury, illness, incident or hazard.
Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Follow all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke and visual standards.

Perform quality inspections.

Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble product in order to create the proper characteristics and dimensions necessary to meet customer expectations.

Work at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.
Maintain clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.

Work with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair.
