About The Position

Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance. This role involves adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring quality through inspections and process adherence, meeting production goals, and maintaining a clean work area. Teamwork and effective communication are essential for continuous improvement and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
  • Must be able to work evenings.
  • Must be able to work overtime.
  • Must be able to pass physical for breathable air equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.
  • Report any work-related injury, illness, incident or hazard.
  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment.

  • Correct hazards within your control and capabilities.

  • Follow all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke and visual standards.

  • Identify and control non-conforming material.
  • Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble product in order to create the proper characteristics and dimensions necessary to meet customer expectations.

  • Work at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.

  • Work with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair.
  • Communicate effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.
