About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed overnight Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients on a leading university’s campus in University City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will conduct patrols, maintain a visible security presence, respond to concerns, and provide customer service and clear communication to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The role is scheduled from 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Pay is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment, subject to applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, follow established campus procedures, and contact appropriate personnel as needed.
Monitor access points and help enforce visitor, parking, and facility-access protocols in accordance with site requirements.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate with supervisors, campus personnel, and/or emergency responders about incidents and security observations.
